Anna Ciccarelli

Dr Ciccarelli has held executive leadership roles in Australian international education, in the Australian English Language and Higher Education sectors, over a 30-year period, in Sydney, Adelaide and Brisbane.  

 

From 2010 to 2014 Anna was Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President (International) at The University of Queensland (UQ). She was a member of the 2012-2016 Administrative Board of the International Association of Universities (IAU) and served on several internationalisation advisory panels in Vietnam, Bangladesh and Japan. From 2013-2016, Anna served as the Foreign Minister’s international education expert on the Australian Government’s Council on Australia Latin America Relations (COALAR). 

 

Anna was the inaugural Vice President of the International Education Association of Australia (IEAA). Anna was the 2014 recipient of the (IEAA) Excellence in Leadership in International Education award. In 2015 she was made Fellow of the University of South Australia. In 2018 she was made life member of the International Education Association of Australia in recognition of her career achievement and service to the Association.
