Stuart Hughes

Senior Librarian
ACER Australian Council for Educational Research, Australia

Stuart Hughes is a librarian. Until 2019 he worked at the Australian Council for Educational Research, where he produced the Database of Research on International Education, collecting and cataloguing published and unpublished research on international students, study abroad and transnational education. In 2016 he won an IEAA award for Excellence in Professional Commentary Related to International Education for this work. In 2019 he took an overdue ‘gap year’ to concentrate on distance running and travel, but has kept an eye on international education with part-time editorial and communications roles in the higher education sector.
